Two times on the ‘Snake

This post is a bit behind. Mostly going to let the pics do the talking.

I stopped by the bike shop before heading out and convinced Chad to come with me. We hadn’t been out in a while, it was a nice afternoon. We hit one of the last sections I have on the Rattlesnake.

Chad was dragging wet flies while I was trying a new pattern the guys at Missoulian Angler suggested. Finally, got into a fish.

We kept working our way upstream. I got into one other fish and Chad missed one in the last hole we tried. For once, I managed to catch more fish than him. I’m sure he could’ve snagged a couple on dries but, I’m still going to enjoy it.

Fun trip with Chad. The next day I popped out for another trip to check off an upper section of the ‘Snake. As I could see my breath upon arrival and it was extremely overcast I had little hope of getting into fish. It was a gorgeous afternoon on the water all the same.

Some awesome sections of water. I’ll be sure to hit this section again when the weather is more cooperative.

Only one more section on the lower part of Rattlesnake Creek left. Hopefully, I’ll get a window and can get out before the creeks close at the end of November. If not, I know where I’ll be heading first thing in the spring.

Happy angling.
