Father’s Day Fishing

Happy Father’s Day to any of you Dad’s that might be reading this. Hope you all had a wonderful day.

As I’m a poor bike mechanic, I decided to take my Dad fishing for Father’s Day rather than send him on a trip to Hawaii… 😉 Water flows are at a weird level. Some spots are still very blown out and dirty, others have come down so much holes I fished less than a week ago are almost entirely gone. In other words, we didn’t have much luck with fishing today. However, it was fun to get out as always, Dad got to give tenkara a try and I gave the Soyokaze I got for Christmas its first test on the water. We did see a few flashes of fish taking a looking on one of the two spots we hit but, nothing wanted to bite. We’ll be out again.

Just a few pics to post, no descriptions really needed. As I said before, Happy Father’s Day to all you Dad’s, especially mine.

Happy angling.

We did stumble upon a little buck taking a nap. Not only was it not scared of us, it seemed genuinely annoyed by our presence. You can kind of make out its tail here…
